The Fresh Start Expo was an event hosted at Grand Canyon University on November 2, 2024. The event provided resources and information to help formerly incarcerated individuals successfully transition back into their communities while also providing resources for the families of those currently incarcerate and impacted by the justice system. The Expo brought together community, organizations, employers, and service providers to offer a range of services, including job readiness training, legal advice related to expungement of criminal records, civil rights restoration, and access to behavior health and addiction services as well as basic medical services. It also provided a platform for formerly incarcerated individuals to share their stories and build community.
